Child playing on a playground

Welcome to Our New Home — and the Idea Behind Everything We Make

We just moved Hello My Beautiful World to a new home online, and I wanted the first thing you read here to be the why. Not the catalog, not the launch details — the belief underneath all of it.

I call it the Triangle of Love.

It's not a theory I built from data or research. It's one I've built from living — from raising two boys, from building businesses, from watching what actually makes a day feel whole versus just full. And it comes down to three things:

Love of Self. Love of Others. Love of Earth.

I believe these are the three pillars of a wholesome life. Not sequential — not "work on yourself first, then others, then the planet" — but three points of the same triangle, holding each other up. You can't lean too hard on one without the shape collapsing.

Play Is the Thread That Connects Them

Here's the part I feel most strongly about: the way we reach all three — the way we actually practice them, day after day, from childhood through old age — is through play.

Play is at the center of the triangle. It's not a fourth thing sitting off to the side; it's the force that moves between the other three and connects them into one whole experience. A child building a sandcastle is practicing love of earth. Two kids making up a game together are practicing love of others. A person alone, lost in something that lights them up, is practicing love of self. Same mechanism. Different direction.

We spend so much energy right now, as a species, trying to figure out how to live longer. I think we're asking half the question. The other half — the half I think matters just as much — is how to live fuller. I believe play, sustained across a lifetime and not abandoned at adulthood, is the key to that. It's the thread that runs from a five-year-old's first game to an eighty-year-old's favorite ritual, and it's the thing that ties self, others, and earth into one continuous experience instead of three separate obligations.

Why the Books Are Built the Way They Are

Hello My Beautiful World is one of the vehicles I've built to carry this idea into the world — starting with kids, because I think the earlier this gets planted, the more naturally it grows.

Each book in the pipeline is designed to give insight into one point of the triangle:

  • Hello My Beautiful World: Miracle, Heal, Peace and Love — this one starts at the center of it all: the self. It's an invitation to see your own existence as something worth marveling at.
  • The Not So Typical ABC Book — this one turns outward, toward others. It's about difference, connection, and the way relationships shape how we see the world.
  • Earth's Core Tastes Like a S'more — this one reaches down and out, toward the planet itself — playful, curious, a kid's-eye love letter to the earth we stand on.

Three books. Three points of the triangle. One thread of play running through all of them.

This journal is where I'll keep documenting that thread as it grows — the books, the ideas, the business behind the mission, and the moments (mine, my boys', hopefully yours too) that prove the theory right.

Glad you're here for the start of it.

My hope for anyone reading this — you, your kids, whoever finds their way here — is simple: that you find a little more room to play today than you did yesterday. That you take a moment to love who you are, love the people around you, and love the ground you're standing on. That's the whole practice. It doesn't need to be bigger than that.

Thank you for being part of this from the beginning. Here's to a long, playful road ahead.

With love and gratitude,
— Adam
